NATURAL KONJAC CLEANSING SPONGE FOR THE FACE

Gentle cleansing and rejuvenation for all skin types.

Brace yourself for a cool Turmeric skin fact: Brides in India regularly scrub their body with a mix of turmeric, gram flour and water for many weeks leading up to their wedding, leaving them with a beautiful healthy glow.

This Turmeric infused Konjac sponge is ideal for tired and dull skin in need of a boost. Not just good for our bellies, Turmeric is also great for our skin. A part of the ginger family, the rhizomes of this herbaceous plant are bright yellow and packed full of antioxidants, with some studies showing evidence of antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties.

Konjac sponges are a 100% natural plant product made from the corm of the Konjac plant, also known as Konnyaku potato, native to parts of tropic eastern Asia. Spud sponges are hard when dry but when soaked in water for a minute or two can nearly double their size, becoming super soft and squishy - offering a very unique and fun cleansing experience. They can be used with or without cleanser and the exfoliation is so gentle that Spud can safely be used every day without irritating or drying out sensitive skin. Skin is left hydrated, clean and smooth. Totally safe sponge for you sensitive types, pregnant women, and reactive skins.

Vegan-friendly. Made in China, designed and packaged in Australia.

HOW TO USE SPUD

Immerse in water and or hold under a running tap, allowing 2-5 minutes to fully hydrate Spud. Prepare to be amazed as he doubles in size!

Gently massage up and down, round and round, all over including eyes. Spud can be used alone or plays nicely with your favourite cleanser.

Gently rinse Spud clean and squeeze (do not wring!) out any excess water.

Hang spud up by his handy string in a well-ventilated or sunny spot to dry out until your next rendezvous.

Spud Sponge should not be left unattended with children under 3 years of age as it could potentially pose a choking hazard.

HOW TO CARE FOR SPUD

Do not wring your Spud Sponge, this will break his inner fibres and destroy his inner spirit. Be gentle and just give him a good squeeze to remove any excess water.

Hang up your spud by his handy string in a nice well ventilated spot after every use. Allow to dry fully on a regular basis.

Let him sunbake regularly. The sun provides natural UV that helps kill any skin bacteria that we all have. By giving your sponge a sunbake outside weekly it will help keep your sponge healthy.

To keep Spud squeaky clean we recommend periodically boiling your sponge for 5 minutes in 1 cup of water with a 1/4 cup of white or apple cider vinegar, to ensure your sponge is clean and bacteria-free. Allow Spud to cool completely before removing, rinsing and hanging up to dry again.

HOW TO DISPOSE OF SPUD

After Spud sponge has used up all his cleansing awesomeness and is looking a bit shabby you can return him to the earth, by burying him in the ground or tossing him in your compost heap. Return him to his roots. Spud biodegrades - HOW AWESOME IS THAT!
